“I recently engaged Murray’s services to play at a Christmas function for approximately 40 guests.  What a fabulous night.  So many of my friends were up dancing … something to behold and not seen for quite a while.  With guests of mixed ages, Murray’s extensive genre catered for all.  I swear that Bob Dylan, Dean Martin, Mick Jagger, and even Kermit the frog were in the room!  His natural charm and engaging personality was a winner with everyone.  Thanks Murray.  I definitely know who will be playing at my next milestone birthday.”

“Having seen Murray playing his grand piano in a central Wellington bar, we thought he’d be wonderful for our wedding – the variety of music, and the great sound he was able to get out of his grand piano really impressed us. The only problem was that we were getting married in the Waikato!

We were thrilled that when we approached Murray and asked if he’d be able to come play at our Matamata wedding reception, he was only too happy to help us make it happen.  Murray carted his grand piano on a trailer all the way up the island, and set himself up at our reception venue without any fuss.

When we arrived after our photos our guests were buzzing and praising the beautiful background music they had been enjoying whilst mingling in the gardens.  Dinner was perfectly complemented by his gorgeous soft dinner music, and when the formalities were over and it was time to party, Murray turned up the tempo – belting out classics and modern hits alike – and had everyone on the dance floor!

It is absolutely amazing what Murray can do with his piano – he is exceptionally talented.  Murray is very professional and adaptable – his ability to find just the right music to suit the moment means we would have no hesitation in recommending him for other events ranging from stylish birthday parties to corporate functions.”

“Hi Murray just a quick e-mail to say thanks for the show/performance you provided for my 50th birthday party (12-3-2011). With the range of ages through the guests list and the music option available for my 50th bash-eg duke box , dee jay etc I was a nervous wreck by the time the big night came around. You’ve come up with a great play list with pin point timing of songs, music can make or break a party mate and you made my night a fantastic evening.  Murray I still get friends and family thanking me for a brilliant night. There’s only one real piano man out there Cheers Murray.  Thanks again”.

“Having previously worked with Murray I have seen him entertain many crowds for different occasions.  For our wedding Murray was accommodating to any requests we had and went out of his way to make things easy for us. His rapport with our family and friends was amazing (young and old), all our guests raved about his presence, saying his entertainment capped off our special day perfectly. We see Murray not only as professional, but as a friend.”

“Murray Giblin has to be the best you can get if you want live music to suit all tastes.  After seeing him at a friend’s party we asked him to play at our wedding seven years ago, when he added enormously to the occasion.  Then earlier this year my wife engaged Murray – secretly! – to play at my 70th.  His easy manner, relaxed style and ability to play for all musical tastes makes Murray a favourite with all ages, and we have no hesitation in recommending him for your next function.  We know you will not be disappointed!”

“I have worked alongside Murray for the last six years and can tell you he is fantastic. I have been the manager of Molly’s for four years however Murray has been working for us for fifteen. I know that some of my customers visit our bar especially to see him. He can be counted on to read a crowd and play what they want to hear. Finding a solo entertainer that will involve the crowd with props and a blank chorus or two is really hard but Murray has and will always deliver.

Murray can entertain any crowd. From a group that wants a slow dance, to a rowdy bunch that wants to boogie and sing along he will give his performances everything he has and leave you wanting more. His fans will tell you he is always up for a request or two and has been known to do more than one “last song” at the end of a busy night with the crowd calling for more encores.

I would highly recommend Murray and to prove it I can tell you have organised him for personal private functions and been delighted how my family and friends enjoyed what he does.”
Kirsty, Manager of Molly Malones Bar, Wellington

“The perfect wedding entertainment, there is nothing like a Piano Man to appeal to all ages.  Murray had both my 75 year old father and my 16 year old nephew on the dance floor all night long – no mean feat! Murray’s talent and sheer enthusiasm for his job means that he made a huge contribution to making our night a roaring success. ”
